About Us
With the support and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) was established in November 2012 as the official governing body for jiu-jitsu in the United Arab Emirates.
Since its inception, the Federation has led the development of the sport nationally and positioned the UAE as a global hub for jiu-jitsu. Through strategic partnerships with government entities, educational institutions, clubs, and international federations, UAEJJF continues to implement policies and programs that elevate the sport locally, regionally, and globally.

Jiu-jitsu is one of the world’s most respected martial arts, developing physical strength, mental resilience, discipline, and social responsibility across all ages.
With the visionary support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation continues to expand the sport’s culture and provide a world-class environment for athletes to excel.
Over the past decade, the UAE has achieved significant milestones, organizing internationally renowned tournaments — most notably the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, now a leading event on the global calendar.
Beyond competition, we work closely with educational institutions and strategic partners to ensure jiu-jitsu contributes to national development. Our athletes remain at the heart of our mission as we empower them to achieve excellence and proudly represent the UAE worldwide.
